A little late but, Happy Holidays! In this fun project, I focused on asset management, modular workflow, and duplicate special. Although the focus was on design and modeling, I sprinkled on some basic textures to bring everything to life. It was very fun working on staging of everything to make the environment feel properly lived in (or more accurately, partied in).
My highlight of this project was texturing the red solo cups. After duplicating and staging them, I decided to add texture. However, it was very inefficient to assign each texture by hand. I started researching how to apply texture to multiple objects but decided it would be a fun exercise to make a script to solve this! I jumped over to the Script Editor and wrote a few lines of code. In no time, everything was properly textured. Much more satisfying and great scripting practice!
