Another fun Houdini simulation! The inevitable Thanos snap is even affecting couches.
Topics Learned: I gained a much better understanding of particles, VOPs, blast, Boolean, and dynamics while working on this simulation. It's fun to apply material I've previously learned in new ways with each project. I enjoyed experimenting with various factors like the air resistance, gravity direction, and materials. I also could reinforce my lighting skills by adding a few area lights to the scene.
Challenges: I wanted to render in Redshift but had issues showing the textures and particles properly. I decided to use Mantra due to time constraints, but I plan to investigate further into using the other engine!
